Experience

Her juridical education in Civil Law allows Cecilia O’Neill to provide corporate advice in a wide array of commercial and financial transactions. This consulting activity is carried out by the issuance of legal opinions in which the clients find the answer to their queries and by assisting those clients in the negotiation, drafting and signing of contracts, tailored to the needs of their businesses.

Cecilia O’Neill practices Civil Law, Corporate Law, Banking and Finance. In fact, her professional expertise is not limited to the private sector, but involved the public sector as well, having served as advisor to the State entity in charge of supervising banking, financial and insurance activities in the country. She has also dealt with certain topics related to the regulation on electricity sector.

Besides her professional practice, Cecilia O´Neill is interested in the academic field. That is the reason why she is a professor of Civil Law in Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (since 1997). She has also been a professor of the same subject in Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (2002 - 2004) and co-professor of Banking and Securities in the Master of Corporate Law in Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
