Experience

Mr. Vassallo's principal expertise is in Criminal Law, Criminal Litigation and Criminology.

He was responsible for the general coordination of the research entitled "Analytical and Statistical Study of the Attorney General's Office Participation in Special Procedures according to the Code of Criminal Procedure", conducted by the Department of Law and Political Science of Universidad de Lima (1996-1997).

In this connection, he served as general coordinator of the research project known as "Analytical and Statistical Study of the Attorney General's Office Participation in the preliminary investigation stage of crime-police level", conducted by the Research Institute of Universidad de Lima (1997-1998).

He is the author of "La Acción Civil en el Proceso Penal" [The Civil Action in the Criminal Proceeding] (2000).
