Experience

Mr. Cardenas helds the position of Junior Associate at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados since January, 2007. His principal expertise is in Civil, Corporate and Financial Law.

A major part of his work focuses on providing legal advise to domestic and foreign companies from the different economic sectors, mainly in corporate, commercial and contractual matters, as well as on the desing of the most convenient legal structures for the initiation and/or development of their activities within the country.

He also possesses experience in the answering of queries regarding foreign investment legislation and in the assistance of foreign investors and investment-receiving companies in the proceedings that are followed before the Private Invesment Promotion Agency - Proinversion, including those related to the execution, amendment and assignment of Juridical Stability Agreements with the Peruvian State.

Moreover, he has been involved in due diligence processes, whereby his responsibility was to analize the most relevant aspects for the acquisition or financing of companies and/or the transfer of businesses.

Mr. Cardenas was a trainee in the Litigation, Corporate Law, Banking and Financial Law, and Customs and Foreing Trade practice areas of Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados since January, 2004.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of ADV Editores Civil Association, which is responsible for publishing Advocatus Law Review (January, 2005 - July, 2005).
