Mr. Hurtado de Mendoza's experience at Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros [Superintendence of Banking and Insurance of Peru] has been useful to obtain a vast knowledge of the financial, insurance and private pension systems.
His principal expertise is in corporate and commercial matters in general, and he advises clients in banking and corporate financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, as well as in business financing transactions through the stock market and innovative investment mechanisms created under the national Private Pension System. His work is focused on advising and representing local and foreign clients in the above-mentioned matters.
Mr. Hurtado de Mendoza's recent matters include participation in the creation of attractive financial schemes for the issuance of instruments to be placed among Pension Fund Administrators under the form of private offerings, with the participation of both local and foreign investors.
From 2003 to 2004, he worked as an assistant professor of the Legal Act course at the School of Law of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In 2001, he won the Second Annual Contest of Social Responsibility Projects (2001). Mr. Hurtado de Mendoza was also a member of the Themis Law Review.
