Experience

An expert in Tax Law, Mr. Humberto Medrano is one of the founding partners of Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados.

His work focuses on solving queries on the application of the tax system and on tax planning. He also advises clients during the review procedures conducted by the Tax Administration.

Moreover, he is involved in the defense of clients before tax authorities and the Tax Court regarding tax collection resolutions.

Mr. Medrano also participates in the negotiation of tax aspects of concession contracts executed with the Supreme Government and in contracts with private companies.

Since 1996, he has served as head professor of the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú , where he teaches several courses within his expertise.

He has participated in the organization of companies regulated under the financial system, as well as in stockbroking companies. He has also provided advisory to various local and foreign banks in transactions involving international borrowing and syndicated loans, trust funds, factoring, leasing and derivatives.

Recently, the Former Students and Alumni Association of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú distinguished Mr. Humberto Medrano in recognition of his prominent professional and teaching career.

He is a full member of Academia Peruana de Derecho (Peruvian Law Academy).
