Experience

Mr. Benavides holds the position of Junior Associate in Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados since January 2006. His principal expertise is in Mining, Environmental, Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Law.

His practice is mainly focussed on the advisory of natural resources and mining companies in their exploration and exploitation activities, as well as on their corporate development.

His experience includes the creation of strategies and structures for mergers and acquisitions of various companies and mining projects, the preparation of Joint Venture agreements and other similar contracts for the exploration and/or exploitation of natural resources, and shareholders' agreements for mining operations. Likewise, he has participated in due diligence processes of mining companies analysing corporate and mining issues.

He was a trainee in Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados since March 2002.

He was a member of the Managing Board of Advocatus Law Review, edited by the students of the Universidad de Lima's Law School, as Editor in Chief (July 2004 - December 2004).
