Mr. Lohmann is an expert in Civil Law, Civil Litigation and Arbitration, and has participated as an arbitrator and ex parte lawyer in local and international arbitration proceedings handled by the Lima Chamber of Commerce and the International Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Special Committee for the Comprehensive Reform of Justice Administration in Peru (acronym in Spanish: CERIAJUS). He was also part of the Arbitration Regulation Committee appointed by the Ministry of Justice (1987); and served as ad hoc public prosecutor in several cases involving the judicial defense of the Peruvian State. Mr. Lohmann was also a member of the Reform Committee of the Code of Civil Procedure representing the Ministry of Justice (1991-1992). Moreover, he has been an acting member of the Superior Court of Justice in and for Lima (1990-1992), and served as chair of the committee in charge of preparing the Code of Civil Procedure Regulations (1992-1993). He was also a member of the Judiciary Executive Board (1992-1993) and of the committee appointed by the Executive to prepare the draft of the Foundations Law (1994-1995). Mr. Lohmann is a member of the Reform Committee of the Civil Code created by Law N°26394, and served as acting magistrate in the Court of Justice of the Andean Community. In the academic field, he has served as professor of the Law School of Universidad de Lima since 1996, and of the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú since 1975. He is a honorary professor of Universidad Católica Santa María de Arequipa and has given courses on specific matters at the Peruvian Magistrate Academy. He is a full member of Academia Peruana de Derecho (Peruvian Law Academy). Memberships Lima Bar Association. Madrid Bar Association.
