Experience

Mr. de Orbegoso's principal expertise is in Mining and Environmental Law, Corporate Tax Law and international corporate advisory.

He represents a variety of local and foreign companies, particularly mining companies, in the structuring, negotiation and delivery of any kind of contract for the exploration, development and exploitation of natural resources.

He has also participated in several privatization and acquisition processes of companies and provides general commercial and corporate advice, having participated in various corporate merger and split-up processes.

During the 2004, he worked at McMillan Binch LLP Law Firm in Toronto, Canada, as Foreign Legal Consultant registered at the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Since July 2002, he is a professor of Mining Law at Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas.

Mr. de Orbegoso served as moderator at the Mines Ministers and Government Representatives Forum held in Toronto in March 2000, and was a professor of the Tax Law Course in the Master of Construction and Real Estate Companies Management Program, organized by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (from 1997 to 2000).

Moreover, he served as assistant professor of the Commercial Law Course at Universidad del Pacífico (1998).
