Ms. Mavila's principal expertise is in Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions.

A major part of her work focuses on providing general advice to companies, and representing clients in transactions involving project financing, mergers, acquisitions and business reorganization.

She is also responsible for designing the most convenient legal structures for companies initiating their activities, and for answering queries related to Commercial Law in general (corporations, contracts, Stock Market).

In addition, she has represented clients in administrative proceedings related to corporate conflicts and Stock Market laws.

Moreover, she has acted as legal counsel in a variety of mergers and acquisitions, including:

Empresas Polar from Venezuela in the sale of their equity share in Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus & Johnston S.A.A. to Grupo Bavaria, which gave it the effective control of the company (2002).

Industrias Electroquímicas S.A. and its main shareholder in the sale of a shareholding interest of 40% in such company to UMICORE of Belgium (2002, 2003).

Grupo Fierro, in the sale of its shareholding interest in Tabacalera Nacional S.A.A. and other related companies in favor of British American Tobacco Peru Holdings Limited (2003).
