Mr. Rodrigo Prado's principal expertise is in Mining and Environmental Law, Foreign Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate and Tax Law. His advises mining and natural resources companies in their exploration, exploitation and corporate development activities, by combining an interesting globalizing perspective with corporate, mining and tax matters. He is a member of the Board of Directors of important mining companies in Peru, and advises prominent mining transnationals from several countries operating in this country. Mr. Rodrigo Prado has had significant or primary responsibility for the representation of a variety of foreign companies in the design of strategies and structures required to carry out corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as of shareholding interests in companies operating in Peru, with a vast experience in the structuring of such transactions and their international financing. Moreover, he has negotiated several investment and stability contracts with the State, joint venture and similar contracts for the exploration and/or exploitation of natural resources, and agreements among shareholders regarding mining operations. He has also participated in many privatization processes involving companies or assets in the field of natural resources. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Instituto Peruano de Derecho de Minería y Petróleo (from 2002 to this date). He has also held the following positions.

Member of the Canada - Peru Business Council (1997-2000). Professor of Mining, Oil and Gas Law at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas [Peruvian University of Applied Sciences] (appointed in 1998). Professor of Civil Law at Universidad Católica del Perú (1994-1995). Professor of Commercial Law at Universidad Católica del Perú (1993-1994). Professor of the Taxation Course in the Master of Construction and Real Estate Companies Management Program organized by Universidad Católica and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid [Polytechnic University of Madrid] (1994-1997).
