Experience
Miss Zavala's principal expertise is in Environmental, Mining and Natural Resources Law. Her work focuses on advising local and foreign public and private sector companies, and State agencies regarding the exploitation of natural resources.
She has advised a wide variety of companies of the mining, energy and industrial sectors in the implementation of Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems. Her practice has also encompassed the handling of licenses, permits, and authorizations, and securing the approval of the environmental management documents required by such companies.
Moreover, she has advised a variety of companies in matters such as community relations, biodiversity conservation and project execution in Protected Natural Areas.
Miss Zavala has also participated in several privatization processes, legal reviews and due diligence processes for the acquisition and/or financing of projects related to the exploitation of natural resources.
During 2003, she served as assistant professor of the Civil Law course of the School of Law of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
