The International Corporate Advisory Practice Group is one of the main advisory teams of Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados, and is involved in representing foreign individuals and legal entities investing or carrying out transactions in Peru.
This Area basically provides advisory in the following fields:
Commercial: definition of the most adequate and efficient business structure; organization and registration of corporate and non-corporate entities; definition of capital stock and funding structuring; registration of foreign investments and assistance in the execution of legal stability agreements with the Peruvian government.
Tax and Labor Planning: definition of the most efficient tax structure for investment activities in Peru, as well as the most convenient structure for workers considered on an individual basis; securing the necessary immigration authorizations (visas); planning and implementation of our clients' labor structure; and securing of registration and authorizations of work contracts and their appropriate registration.
Representation before authorities of the Central, Regional and Local Governments: securing of all necessary licenses and/or concessions required for certain sectors (transportation, telecommunications, energy, mining, public services, pharmaceutical industry, and agriculture, among others); evaluation and determination of the environmental measures to be adopted; registration of intellectual property rights for their proper recognition and protection; and securing of customs authorizations and import licenses.
