CALL FOR BIDS OF COMPREHENSIVE PROJECTS FOR THE AWARDING OF CONCESSION CONTRACTS OF THREE ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION PROJECTS
On February 28, 2019, the call for international public bids for the award of three electric transmission projects was posted in the website of PROINVERSIÓN:
(a) La Niña – Piura 500 kV Connection, Substations, Lines and Associated Expansions, which includes an electric transmission line of 87 kilometers, a new electrical substation (Piura Nueva) and various expansions;
(b) Pariñas – Nueva Tumbes 220 kV Connection, Substations and Associated Expansions, which includes an electric transmission line of 158 kilometers, a new electrical substation (Nueva Tumbes) and various expansions; and,
(c) Tingo María – Aguaytía 220 kV Connection, Substations, Lines and Associated Expansions, which includes an electric transmission line of 72 kilometers, a new electrical substation (Nueva Tingo María) and various expansions.
Each project will be awarded to the bidder that offers the lowest total cost of investment, operation and maintenance, being the successful bidder responsible for designing, financing, building, operating and maintaining the electric transmission infrastructure. According to PROINVERSIÓN, the projects will require an approximate investment of EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) of US$178.75 million, which will be granted in concession for a term of 30 years.
The bidders of the public tender called must fulfill financial, technical and legal requirements set forth in the bidding terms and conditions, which include a minimum net worth; experience on the operation of transmission systems with certain technical characteristics; and, not having incurred in certain impediment causes.
The parties interested in participating in the tender must comply with paying a participation fee in the amount of US$4,000.00 (four thousand and 00/100 dollars), which must be deposited in the Savings Account in Foreign Currency 0011-0661-66-0200035113 at BBVA Banco Continental (SWIFT: BCONPEPL).
