Extension of the deadline for declaration and payment of the Contribution by OSINERGMIN Regulation
Today,Tuesday March 24, 2020, through OSINERGMIN Resolution No. 31-2020-OS/CD, the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (“OSINERGMIN”) has made more flexible the deadline for the submission of the declaration and payment of the Contribution by Regulation.
In this regard, in accordance with the “Procedure for the Audit of the Contribution by Regulation created in favor of Osinergmin, applicable to the Energy and Mining Sectors”, adopted by Resolution OSINERGMIN No. 264-2014-OS-CD, the Contribution by Regulation reaches the companies and entities of the electricity and hydrocarbon subsectors, and the owners of the mining activities, under the scope of competence of Osinergmin. Likewise, this rule regulates that the affidavit (self-assessment) of the Contribution by Regulation and the payment of said contribution, at the expense of the obligated subjects, must be made until the last working day of the month following the billing period that is declared.
In this regard, considering the State of Emergency declared by Supreme Decree No. 044-2020-PCM, Osinergmin has ordered, in accordance with OSINERGMIN Resolution No. 31-2020-OS/CD, to extend the deadline for the declaration and payment of the Contribution by Regulation for the month of February 2020 until the last working day of April 2020.
