“AMENDMENT OF PROVISIONS OF THE SINGLE REGISTRY OF FISHERY VESSELS IN THE HIGH SEAS AREA”
By Supreme Decree N° 010-2021-PRODUCE published today May 12, 2021 in the Official Gazette El Peruano, Articles 2 and 7 of Supreme Decree N° 002-2015-PRODUCE, which adopted the “Single Registry of Fishery Vessels that carry out fishery activities in the High Seas Area”, were partially amended.
This amendment specifies that this registry applies to all vessels (previously it indicated that it was for larger scales) and provides that, without prejudice to compliance with national regulations, the satellite tracking system of the vessel must operate in accordance with the provisions established by the corresponding regional or sub-regional organizations or arrangements.”
