1. Authorization to start the second season of industrial fishery for anchovy in the north-central zone with a quota of 2,780,000 tons
Through Ministerial Resolution RM No. 383-2020-PRODUCE published on Sunday November 8th, 2020, the start of the second season of industrial fishery for Anchovy (Engraulis ringens) and White Anchovy (Anchoa nasus) was arranged in the north-central zone between the northern end of the maritime domain and 16°00′ SL and with a Maximum Total Allowable Catch Limit (quota) of 2,780,000 tons.
The start of the season shall be from November 12th until the quota is met or until previously determined by IMARPE.
2. Suspension of hake fishery for trawlers in coastal zones
Through Ministerial Resolution RM No. 382-2020-PRODUCE published on Sunday November 8th, 2020, it was ordered the suspension of the extraction activities of the Hake resource (Merluccius gayi peruanus) for trawlers, in the zone between 04°40′ S and 05°00′ S and for 7 calendar days from 00.00 hours of the day following the publication of the resolution.
Artisanal vessels participating in the exploratory fishery regulated by RM No. 202-2020-PRODUCE are exempted from the suspension.
