  1. Suspension of hake resource extraction activities in the coastal zone

By Board Resolution Nº 108-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on August 3, 2022, the extractive activities of the hake resource carried out by industrial trawlers were suspended in the area between 05°20′ and 05°40 S and for a period of seven (7) calendar days, from 09.00 hours of August 4, 2022 to 09.00 hours of August 11, 2022.

  1. Authorization of IMARPE to carry out biological prospection of the eel resource with the use of two small-scale vessels

By Ministerial Resolution Nº 266-2022-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 8, 2022, IMARPE was authorized to carry out the biological fishery survey of the eel resource in the maritime area between 03°24’S and 07°00’S for a period of six (6) calendar days between August 9 and 14, 2022 and with the participation of two small-scale fishery vessels with fishery permits in force for said resource.

III. Reproductive closure of the silverside resource in the maritime area is established

Through Ministerial Resolution Nº 273-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 20, 2022, the reproductive closure period of the silverside resource was established from 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published and for 28 calendar days. The closure includes 10°37’S and 13°30’S, which includes the maritime area adjacent to the Constitutional Province of Callao.

  1. Reproductive closure of the hake resource in the maritime area is established

Through Ministerial Resolution Nº 279-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Ministry of Production’s website on August 24, 2022, the reproductive closure period of the hake resource was established from 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published and for 30 calendar days. The prohibition includes the northern limit of the maritime domain and 04°30’S. This provision is not applicable to the Special Provisional Regime for artisanal fishery vessels.

  1. Extractive activities of the anchovy resource in the coastal zone are suspended

By Board Resolution Nº 120-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on August 26, 2022, the extractive activities of the anchovy and white anchovy resources were suspended in the area between 16°00′ and 17°00 S within 10 miles and for a period of seven (7) calendar days, from 16:00 hours of August 26, 2022 until 16:00 hours of September 2, 2022.
