Extension of the deadline for declaration and payment of the Contribution by Regulation of OEFA and the Subdivisions of environmental fines
This Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Agency for Environmental Assessment and Enforcement – OEFA has issued a Communiqué to inform the extension of the deadline for compliance with the filing of the declaration and payment of the Contribution by Regulation and the Subdivisions of environmental fines.
Pursuant to the provisions of OEFA Resolution No. 009-2014-OEFA-CD, the presentation of the affidavit of the Contribution by Regulation and the respective payment must be made until the third to last, second to last and last working day of the month following the period of invoicing which is declared for the issues of the mining sector, hydrocarbon and electricity subsectors, respectively.
Considering the State of National Emergency declared by Supreme Decree No. 044-2020-PCM, the OEFA has arranged to extend the deadline for the declaration and payment of the Contribution by Regulation of the month of February 2020. In addition, maturities of the quotas of the month of March for the installments of the environmental fines that have been previously approved are extended for the same period.
In the event of an extension of the State of National Emergency, such extensions shall be extended for the duration of the State of National Emergency.
