Provisional Regime for Hake Fisheries is established from July 2020 to June 2021
Through Ministerial Resolution No. 188-2020-PRODUCE published today, Tuesday, June 30, the Provisional Fisheries Regime for Hake Resource (merluccius gayi peruanus) is established for trawlers from July 2020 to June 2021 and in the area between the northern end of the maritime domain and 07°00´South Latitude. The quota for said regime shall be 50,823 tons.
The General Directorate of Fisheries for Direct and Indirect Human Consumption of the Vice-ministerial Office of the Ministry of Production shall publish through a Board Resolution the list of allocation of the Maximum Catch Limits per Vessel for that resource.
The established quota may be amended depending on the availability of the resource and prior technical advice from the Sea Institute of Peru – IMARPE. Likewise, it is established that said regime may not extend beyond June 30, 2021.
