Authorization to begin the 1st season of industrial anchovy fishing in 2020 and setting of catch quota
Through Ministerial Resolution RM 147-2020-PRODUCE published today Friday, May 8, the beginning of the 1st season of industrial fishing of the anchovy resource (Engraulis ringens) and white anchovy (Anchoa nasus) was ordered for the north-central area between the extreme north of the maritime zone and the 16°00´LS.
The beginning shall be from May 13 and with a Maximum Total Allowable Catch Limit (quota) of 2,413,000 tons.
