By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 354-2023-PRODUCE, published today October 18, 2023 as an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” corresponding to October 17, the Institute of the Sea of Peru – IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of anchovy with the participation of the industrial fishery fleet with the general objective of verifying if there is segregation between schools of juvenile and adult specimens.
The exploratory fishery will be carried out for five (5) calendar days and will begin at 00.00 hours on October 21 in the area between 05°S and 15°59′ S outside 10 miles from the coast. The owners of the participating vessels are obliged to facilitate the boarding of a representative of IMARPE or of the General Directorate of Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Ministry of Production. The catches made will be deducted from the corresponding Maximum Catch Limit per Vessel (LMCE North – Center) of the second fishery season 2023 assigned to the vessels.
