By means of Ministerial Resolution No. 003-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 5, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, a Provisional Regime for the extraction of the eel resource was established for 2024, with a quota of 5,800 tons. This regime is for larger scale fishery vessels with a fishery permit in force for said resource.
II. THE SECOND SEASON OF INDUSTRIAL ANCHOVY FISHERY IN THE NORTH-CENTRAL ZONE IS DECLARED CONCLUDED
By Ministerial Resolution No. 008-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 12, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the second season of industrial anchovy fishery for the north-central zone was terminated as of 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published. The deadline for anchovy unloading and processing concludes 24 and 48 hours, respectively, after the end of the season.
III. OCTOPUS CATCH QUOTA ESTABLISHED IN THE NATIONAL RESERVE AREA
By means of Ministerial Resolution No. 009-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 13, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the catch limits of the octopus resource were established at 25.1 tons, applicable to the National Reserve System of Islands, Islets, and Puntas Guaneras-Punta Coles, located in the Province of Ilo, Department of Moquegua for 2024.
IV. COD CATCH QUOTA ESTABLISHED FOR 2024
By means of Ministerial Resolution No. 010-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 18, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the catch limits of the cod resource were established at 186 tons for 2024 and applicable to vessels with fishery permit in force for the mentioned resource.
V. IMARPE IS AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT EXPLORATORY FISHERY OF ANCHOVY IN THE SOUTHERN ZONE
By Ministerial Resolution No. 015-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 18, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of the anchovy resource in the southern zone between the 16° parallel to the southern end of the maritime domain, as from the third calendar day of the publication of the resolution and for a period of 10 calendar days.
The aforementioned exploratory fishery is carried out with the participation of larger scale purse seine fishery vessels with a fishery permit and current ECFM for the southern zone. The catches made will be deducted from the ECML of the following season of each respective vessel.
VI. MACKEREL FISHERY FOR LARGER SCALE VESSELS IS TERMINATED
By means of Ministerial Resolution No. 020-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 24, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the mackerel resource extraction activities for larger scale vessels were terminated as of 00.00 hours of the day following the publication of the resolution. The processing, storage, commercialization and transport of the mentioned resource must have indubitable and dated documentation that proves that it was extracted within the term of the extractive activities.
VII. PERICO CATCH QUOTA FOR THE 2023-2024 SEASON IS MODIFIED
By Ministerial Resolution No. 022-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 26, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the perico quota for the 2023-2024 season was modified, establishing it at 61,000 tons, applicable to the fishery season of such resource until April 30, 2024.
VIII. BONITO CATCH QUOTA IS ESTABLISHED FOR 2024
By Ministerial Resolution N° 026-2024-PRODUCE, published on January 28, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the catch limits for the bonito resource were established at 42,415 tons for 2024, applicable to purse seine fishery vessels greater than or equal to 20 m3 of well capacity and with the following distribution:
Supreme Decree No. 001-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on January 30, 2024 approved the measures that an Authorized Economic Operator – AEO must comply with and maintain in order to access the facilities granted by SANIPES.
