Authorization for the start of the second anchovy fishery season 2022 in the southern zone is granted
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 230-2022-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on July 2, 2022, authorized the start of the second fishery season of anchovy resource of 2022 in the southern zone, between the southern end of the maritime domain and 16°00’SL.
The Total Maximum Allowable Catch Limit (quota) is 486,500 tons.
The reserve is declared closed due to the incidence of jack mackerel in the extraction of the mackerel resource
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 233-2022-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on July 2, 2022, it was declared the culmination of the reserve for incidence of jack mackerel resource in the mackerel resource catches, from 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published. Vessels shall be able to unload the horse mackerel resource as long as they have authorization to set sail prior to the termination date.
This reserve was established at 5,192 tons by Ministerial Resolution Nº 189-2022-PRODUCE
Anchovy extractive activities are suspended in the coastal zone

The first anchovy extraction season of the north-central zone of 2022 is concluded
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 254-2022-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on July 23, 2022, the first anchovy fishery season of the north-central zone in the maritime area between the northern end of the maritime domain and 16°00′ SL was terminated, from 00.00 hours of the day following the publication of the resolution. Unloading and processing must be carried out within 24 and 48 hours of the end of the season, respectively.
