I. JACK MACKEREL REPRODUCTIVE CLOSURE IS CONCLUDED AND FISHERY QUOTA IS EXTENDED FOR THE PERIOD 2023
By Ministerial Resolution N° 367-2023-PRODUCE, published on November 1, 2023, the reproductive closure of the horse mackerel resource was terminated, as of 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published.
Likewise, the quota for the period 2023 was changed, establishing it in 84,724 tons, applicable to the extractive activities of artisanal vessels with purse seine nets and with capacity equal or greater than 20 m3 up to 32.6 m3.
II. MODIFICATION OF THE STARTING DATE FOR EXPLORATORY FISHERY AUTHORIZED BY RM 360-2023-PRODUCE
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 372-2023-PRODUCE, published on November 2, 2023 in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the starting date of Exploratory Fishery established by Ministerial Resolution N° 360-2023-PRODUCE was modified, indicating that it starts on November 4 and ends on November 10.
III. EXTRACTION OF FAN SHELLS IN THE AREA OF THE ISLAND OF LOBOS DE TIERRA IS AUTHORIZED
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 371-2023-PRODUCE, published on November 4, 2023, the extraction of 1,521 tons of specimens larger than 25 mm and smaller than 65 mm of valvar height was authorized in an extraordinary way, in the area of the Island Lobos de Tierra. This authorization ends when the mentioned quota is reached or, failing that, on December 31, 2023.
IV. A REPRODUCTIVE CLOSURE FOR BONITO IS ESTABLISHED FOR 2023
Through Ministerial Resolution N° 377-2023-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 10, 2023, the reproductive closure of the bonito resource was established as of November 11 and for a period of 30 calendar days.
V. IMARPE IS AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT AN EXPLORATORY FISHERY FOR DEEP SEA COD
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 390-2023-PRODUCE, published in the Ministry of Production’s Website on November 17, 2023, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery called “Deep Sea Cod Operation II”, starting the day after the resolution was published and until December 31, 2023. The start and execution of the operation will be defined by IMARPE, after coordination with the owners of the participating vessels.
VI. IMARPE IS AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT EXPLORATORY FISHERY OF GIANT SQUID OR POTA
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 391-2023-PRODUCE, published in the Ministry of Production’s Website on November 17, 2023, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of the giant squid or squid resource, from the day after the resolution was published until December 31, 2023 and with the participation of artisanal fishery vessels.
VII. IMARPE IS AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT EXPLORATORY FISHERY WITH THE ARTISANAL OFFSHORE CORTINERA FLEET IN THE AREA ADJACENT TO TÚMBES AND PIURA.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 398-2023-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 25, 2023, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery with the deep-sea artisanal fleet operating in the sea adjacent to Tumbes and Piura, as from the day after the resolution was published until December 31, 2023.
VIII. AUTHORIZATION FOR THE EXTRACTION OF RED SEA URCHIN IN MARITIME AREA WITH A QUOTA OF 489.95 TONS FOR THE PERIOD 2023-2024
By Ministerial Resolution N° 399-2023-PRODUCE, published in the extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 25, 2023, the extraction of red sea urchin in the maritime area between -15.0613° LS -75.4095° LO; and -15.4583°LS -75.0238° LO was authorized until June 30, 2024 and with a quota of 489.95 tons.
I. FONDEPES IS AUTHORIZED TO GRANT AN EXTRAORDINARY SUBSIDY IN FAVOR OF ARTISANAL FISHERMEN
By means of Emergency Decree N° 038-2023 published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 24, 2011, it was approved to authorize FONDEPES to grant an extraordinary economic subsidy called “Bono del Pescador Artesanal” of S/. 700.00.
