I. AUTHORIZATION OF EXPLORATORY FISHERY OF ANCHOVY FOR INDIRECT HUMAN CONSUMPTION AND AT ITS CONCLUSION THE SECOND FISHERY SEASON 2022 WITH A QUOTA OF 2’283,000 TONS IS INITIATED
Through Ministerial Resolution Nº 391-2022-PRODUCE, published today as an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” of November 22, 2022, an Exploratory Fishery of anchovy for indirect human consumption was authorized, starting at 00:00 a.m. on the day after the publication of this Resolution. 00 hours of the day following the publication of the resolution for a period of five (5) calendar days, in the maritime area outside the 5 miles between the northern end of the maritime domain and 15°59’59”9 S. This exploratory fishery is for larger scale vessels with a valid fishery permit for anchovy and what they catch shall be deducted from their corresponding LMCE (quota).
Likewise, at the end of the exploratory fishery, the beginning of the Second Fishery Season 2022 is authorized in the indicated area and with a Total Maximum Allowable Catch Limit (total quota) of 2’283,000 tons. The conclusion date of the second season shall be once the TAC (total quota) is reached or, when recommended by IMARPE for environmental or biological reasons.
I. ARTICLES OF THE PENAL CODE ARE AMENDED TO STRENGTHEN THE CRIMINAL PROSECUTION OF CRIMES AGAINST NATURAL RESOURCES
By means of Law Nº 31622, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 16, 2022, Articles 308-B, 308-D and 309 of the Criminal Code were amended, in relation to the illegal extraction and processing of aquatic species, illegal trafficking of genetic resources and aggravated forms.
II. REGULATIONS FOR CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE ARE APPROVED
Supreme Decree Nº 017-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 23, 2022, approved the Regulation of Citizen Participation in the environmental management of the Fishery and Aquaculture subsectors of the Ministry of Production.

By means of Supreme Resolution Nº 295-2022-PCM published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on November 26, 2022, Mr. Eduardo Mora Asnaran was appointed as Minister of Production.
