By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 327-2024-PRODUCE, published on August 13, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, the maximum catch limit (quota) of the hake resource for the period July 2024 to June 2025 was established at 30,821 tons.
By means of Directorial Resolution N° 069-2024-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA published in the web portal of the Ministry of Production on August 19, 2024, the extractive activities of the bonito resource in the framework of the exploratory fishery established by Ministerial Resolution N° 300-2024-PRODUCE were terminated, as of 00.00 hours of August 20, 2024.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 332-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 21, 2024, the extractive activities of the horse mackerel resource carried out by artisanal purse seine fishery vessels from 20 m3 to 32.6 m3 were terminated, as of 00.00 hours of the day following the publication of this resolution.
By Ministerial Resolution N° 333-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 22, 2024, the extractive activities of jack mackerel resource carried out by artisanal purse seine fishery vessels smaller than 20 m3 were terminated as of 00.00 hours of the day following the publication of this resolution.
1. FISHERY MANAGEMENT MEASURES FOR THE RATIONAL EXPLOITATION IN THE MARITIME AREA ADJACENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TUMBES WERE ESTABLISHED
Through Supreme Decree N° 011-2024-PRODUCE published on August 4 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, measures were established for the artisanal vessels listed in the Directorial Resolution N° 0109-2019/GOB.REG.TUMBES-DRP-DR that to date have not obtained the small-scale fishery permit. The rule establishes 15 working days for the PRODUCE to publish a list with such vessels. After that, in 30 working days the PRODUCE publishes a list with those vessels that comply with the requirements established in Article 4 of this decree and then in 30 working days it issues the corresponding fishery permits.
Finally, and in relation to the assumptions for the installation of the Special Committee in charge of carrying out the public contest, the date for the installation is modified to September 1st of each year in the case of verifying possible surpluses of the quota not fully exploited by national shipowners until the end of the year.
2. REGULATION OF LAW No. 31749 RECOGNIZING TRADITIONAL ANCESTRAL FISHERY AND TRADITIONAL ARTISANAL FISHERY AND PRESERVATION IN THE FIVE MILES WAS APPROVED.
By means of Supreme Decree N° 013-2024-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette “El Perano” on August 10, 2024, the regulations of Law N° 31749, law that recognizes traditional ancestral fishery and traditional artisanal fishery and promotes their preservation within the five Peruvian maritime miles, were published.
3. DIFFERENTIATED EXTRACTION ZONE FOR ANCHOVY FISHERY FOR DIRECT HUMAN CONSUMPTION IN THE MARITIME AREA OF ANCASH IS ESTABLISHED.
By Ministerial Resolution No. 324-2024-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 10, 2024, a differentiated zone was established for the anchovy fishery for direct human consumption outside mile one to mile three in the maritime area between latitudes 08°45′ S and 09°18’S, adjacent to the department of Ancash.
4. DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR ISSUANCE OF TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE MONITORING AND CONTROL PROGRAM
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 352-2024-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 29, 2024, the term for the Commission in charge of elaborating the Bases and Terms of Reference, summoning and conducting the selection process of the supervising companies that will execute the Surveillance and Control Program of the fishery and aquaculture activities in the national scope for the period from February 1, 2025 to January 31, 2028, to submit the Bases and Terms of Reference for their approval was extended for 20 working days.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 307-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1, 2024, Mr. Daniel Hugo Collachagua Pérez was appointed as Director of the General Directorate of the Directorate of Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 309-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1, 2024, Ms. Haydee Victoria Rosas Chávez was appointed as Director of the General Directorate of Policies and Regulatory Analysis of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 310-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1st, 2024, Mr. Ricardo Gabriel Herbozo Colque was appointed as Director of the General Directorate of the Directorate of Fisheries for Direct and Indirect Human Consumption of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 312-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1, 2024, Mr. Alberto Díaz Alfaro was appointed as Director of the Surveillance and Control Directorate of the General Directorate of Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 318-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1, 2024, Mr. Jorge Eduardo Maguiña Aliaga was appointed as Director of the Supervision and Inspection Directorate of the General Directorate of Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Resolution of the Executive Presidency N° 109-2024-SANIPES/PE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 1, 2024, Ms. Jennifer Jesús Tafur Alvarado was appointed as Director of the Sanctions Directorate of SANIPES.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 320-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 5, 2024, Mr. Rafael Enrique Velásquez Soriano was appointed as Secretary General of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 322-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 7, 2024, Mrs. Yuri Lupe Toledo Sánchez was appointed as Advisor II of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
By means of Resolution of the Executive Presidency N° 116-2024-SANIPES/PE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on August 7, 2024, Mrs. Edith Carmen Enrique Aparicio was appointed as Director of the Sanitary Control Directorate of SANIPES.
