1. MODIFICATION OF BONITO CATCH QUOTA FOR 2024
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 404-2024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 5, 2024, numeral 1.1 of Article 1 of Ministerial Resolution N° 026-2024-PRODUCE was modified by 91,000 tons applicable to artisanal vessels for the whole of 2024.
2. IMARPE IS AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT AN EXPLORATORY FISHERY OF THE LORNA RESOURCE
By Ministerial Resolution N° 412-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 20, 2024, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of the lorna resource for a period of 15 calendar days with the participation of artisanal fishery vessels.
3. MODIFICATION OF THE BONITO RESOURCE CATCH QUOTA FOR 2024
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 13024-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 20, 2024, numeral 1.1 of Article 1 of Ministerial Resolution N° 026-2024-PRODUCE was modified to modify the fishery of artisanal vessels up to 20 m3 by 1,900 tons, of more than 20 m3 up to 32.6 m3 by 2,850 tons and for curtain and others by 950 tons. This is applicable for the period ending December 31, 2024.
4. THE SECOND SEASON OF INDUSTRIAL ANCHOVY FISHERY IN THE NORTH-CENTRAL ZONE IS AUTHORIZED TO BEGIN
By Ministerial Resolution N° 419-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 22, 2024, the start of the second season of industrial anchovy fishery was authorized for the north-central zone, comprised between the northern end of the maritime domain and 16°00’S. The start of the second season of industrial anchovy fishery is set for October 22, 2024. The start is set for 00:00 hours on November 1 and the catch quota will be 2’510,000 tons.
5. CLOSURE OF THE PEJERREY RESOURCE IS TERMINATED
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 426-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 24, 2024, the pejerrey resource closure was terminated, authorizing the restart of its activities as of 00.00 hours on October 27, 2024.
6. ANCHOVY RESOURCE CATCH QUOTA FOR CHD FOR 2024 IS MODIFIED
By Ministerial Resolution N° 427-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 24, 2024, the Maximum Catch Limit for Direct Human Consumption (LMTC-CHD) of the anchovy resource for 2024 was modified, setting it at 200,000 tons.
7. REPRODUCTIVE CLOSURE OF THE BONITO RESOURCE IS ESTABLISHED
By Ministerial Resolution N° 429-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 26, 2024, the reproductive closure of the bonito resource was established as of October 28, 2024 and for a period of 30 calendar days.
1. MULTISECTORAL WORKING GROUP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF FAN SHELL AQUACULTURE IN PARACAS IS CREATED
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 410-2024-PRODUCE published on October 17 in the Ministry of Production’s Web Portal, a temporary Multisectorial Working Group was created, called: “Working Group for the development of the aquaculture of the fan shell resource in the Paracas Bay, Pisco – Ica”, under the Ministry of Production. Its purpose is to identify mechanisms and strategies to promote the development of fan shell aquaculture.
2. MODIFICATION OF THE REGULATIONS OF THE GENERAL LAW OF AQUACULTURE
By Supreme Decree N° 015-2024-PRODUCE, published on October 19, 2024 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, Article 10 of the Regulations of the General Law of Aquaculture approved by Supreme Decree N° 003-2016-PRODUCE was amended by modifying the technical criteria of the productive categories.
3. PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO THE PAYMENT OF SEIZURE OF HYDROBIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS ARE ESTABLISHED
By Ministerial Resolution No. 433-2024-PRODUCE published on October 30 in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, provisions applicable to the payment of seizures of hydrobiological products were established, in relation to the provisional condition of the amounts and the non-disposition of them as long as administrative proceedings have been exhausted or the sanction has been consented, among others.
1. APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ITP
By Supreme Resolution N° 008-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 4, 2024, Ivonne Rocío Echevarría Hurtado and Fernando Alarcón Díaz were appointed as members of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Tecnológico de la Producción – ITP, on behalf of the Ministry of Production.
2. APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL DIRECTOR OF ARTISANAL FISHERIES
By means of Ministerial Resolution N° 423-2024-PRODUCE published in the web portal of the Ministry of Production on October 23, 2024, Mr. Alberto Díaz Alfaro was appointed as General Director of the General Directorate of Artisanal Fisheries of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
3. APPOINTMENT OF GENERAL MANAGER OF SANIPES
By Resolution of the Executive Presidency N° 138-2024-SANIPES/PE published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on October 24, 2024, Mrs. Cedilia Victoria Akemi Kuroiwa Pérez was appointed as General Manager of the National Authority of Fisheries and Aquaculture Health and Safety – SANIPES.
