PRACTICES
Carmela specializes in arbitration and judicial litigation, with experience in national and international arbitrations in commercial, corporate, construction, hydrocarbon, expropriation, and public procurement matters.
She has participated in proceedings conducted under the rules of organizations such as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), and the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AMCHAM), among others.
Carmela served as a teaching assistant in arbitration courses at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) (2021) and at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) (2022-2023). In 2022, she also served as a teaching assistant for the Conflict Theory and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
She is currently the coach of the Universidad de Lima (UL) team for international arbitration competitions (MOOT).
