José Villafuerte specializes in corporate finance, project finance, securities market, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, banking and insurance regulatory advice and anti-money laundering.

He counsels on the design, negotiation and structuring of corporate loans, project finance, issuance of debt instruments in the securities market, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as advice on banking, insurance, bankruptcy, capital markets and anti-money laundering regulations. He has advised banks, financial institutions, structurers, investors, debtors, issuers, multilateral organizations, insurance companies and brokers.

José has been an assistant professor of the Societies course (2017-2018) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
