Luis Carlos Rodrigo Mazuré is a founding partner of both Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados offices in Lima (1965) and Madrid (1973).

He received his degrees in Law and Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He minored in Legal Education and Tax Law at the University of Wisconsin and Harvard, respectively.

Luis Carlos participated in the preparation of main mining exploration and exploitation contracts entered into in Peru, offering advice to American, Canadian and European companies. He was also part of important mergers counseling on company restructuration, tax regulation enforcement, and international operations in Peru and Spain.

He participated in the Income Tax Regime drafting team in 1968, key point in the Peruvian tax law development. He has been Foreign Legal Consultant for the State of Florida, USA (1995 – 1997), President of the Peruvian Institute for Tax Law (2007-2009), Member of the Board of Directors and President of the Tax Committee of the National Institute of Mining, Oil and Energy participating actively and vigorously, Member of the Advisory Board of the Presidency of Supreme Court of the Republic of Peru (2007- 2009).

In 2012, the prestigious legal ranking Chambers & Partners honored him with Lifetime Achievement Awards, granted to attorneys with an outstanding professional career.

Currently, he is counsel and assists special clients. He also shares with the rising lawyer generations his valuable experience and knowledge.
