Intellectual Property
Maritza Reátegui heads our Life Sciences & Healthcare practice area.
She counsels on pharmaceutical and biotechnology matters, such as cosmetics and healthcare products, medical devices, natural products, cannabis, food and beverages, and agrochemical industries.
She represents clients on proceedings and strategy design for sanitary registry filing and protection, data protection of trial, clinical studies, right to petition and sanction process before administrative authorities such as Input and Drug Agency (DIGEMID); General Environmental Health Agency (DIGESA); National Service for Agricultural Health (SENASA); and National Health Institute (INS).
She is consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank on sanitary regulation issues.
Maritza is director of the Master’s Program in Intellectual Property major in Pharmaceutical Law of the Graduate School of Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
She teaches at different universities in Peru, Mexico and Argentina on Life Sciences and Intellectual Property topics. She also teaches the Intellectual Property Trainers Course by the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO.
