Omar Córdova specializes in maritime law, marine insurance and reinsurance, shipping & admiralty.

His practice focuses on advising clients regarding coverages of insurance policies for transport, hull and machinery, Port Civil Liability and Stock Throughput Policy (STP), according to Peruvian and English law. Also, with more than 20 years of experience, he is one of the leaders in the marine and port recoveries market.

In this sense, he advises various insurance companies, reinsurers, insurance brokers, surveyors, policyholders, P&I Clubs, shipowners, charterers in disputes relating to transport, hull and machinery and marine liability policies.

Omar also provides legal advice in the drafting of bareboat charter contracts, for time and travel. He also has extensive experience in handling cases of maritime salvage, general average, collisions and pollution, both nationally and internationally, and recovery proceedings, assisting clients in mediation and/or conciliation processes, as well as in maritime and insurance litigation (arbitration and judicial).
