Arbitration
Thalia Villegas specializes in national and international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and civil law.
Her practice focuses on the sponsorship of arbitration litigation and the preparation of legal opinions for the diagnosis of arbitration disputes.
The related industry sectors she has seen in her arbitration experience are mainly construction, mining, hydrocarbons, real estate and food industry. Thalia has experience in arbitrations administered by the ICC, ICSID, CCL, the PUCP Arbitration Center and AmCham.
In addition, Thalia is a teaching assistant at the PUCP for the Private International Law and Commercial and Investment Arbitration courses, as well as for the Investment Arbitration and Legal Skills courses at the Universidad del Pacífico. She is a regular speaker at various academic events on arbitration, and has published academic articles as editor and author.
She is an Extraordinary Associate of the Civil Association Themis of the PUCP Law School, having been General Editor of the Themis Legal Publishing House and member of the Board of Directors in 2018.
