The Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators (“SBS”) approves to amend the Regulations for the authorization of companies and representatives of the Financial and Insurance Systems, approved by Resolution SBS N°211-2021 (“Regulations”). By means of Resolution S.B.S. N° 02721-2024, published in the official gazette “El Peruano” on August 5th of this year, said entity approved the amendments to the Regulations described below, in order to simplify the evaluation process carried out by said Institution within the framework of the procedures for authorization of organization of Credit Companies, as well as the requirements for consolidated supervision of said type of companies:
The SBS is exempted from sending a questionnaire on consolidated supervision aspects to the home supervisor of the shareholders or organizers of the Credit Company.
The obligation to submit to the SBS information regarding the operations and economic-financial situation of the economic group of the shareholders of the Credit Company is exempted, as well as, if applicable, information regarding the impact of the incorporation of the company in the consolidable groups, the projection of the equity requirements and the calculation of the effective equity of such groups.
