Exploratory fishery of jack mackerel with 10,000 tons and mackerel with 3,000 tons is authorized
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 240-2023-PRODUCE published today July 21, 2023, in extraordinary edition corresponding to 20/07, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of the horse mackerel resource with 10,000 tons and mackerel with 3,000 tons.
It will start at 00.00 hours today 07/21 and will end at 23.59 hours on 07/27 or until the respective authorized tons are reached. The exploratory fishery will be carried out by larger scale fishery vessels with a valid fishery permit for those resources and with the use of purse seine nets with 38 mm (1 ½ inches) mesh size. A member of the crew must carry out the biometric sampling on board after each haul and the Fishery Logbook Form must be handed in to the accredited inspectors at the authorized landing points.
