Through Ministerial Resolution Nº 170-2022-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on May 9, 2022, the Institute of the Sea of Peru was authorized to carry out the Eureka LXXIII operation in the maritime area between Punta Falsa and Huacho, from 5 to 40 miles and for a period of three (3) days, during the week of May 9 to 13, 2022. This operation is executed with the participation of 10 vessels of larger scale of wood of Law Nº 26920 and with a hold capacity close to 110 m3.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 171-2022-PRODUCE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on May 11, 2022, the Institute of the Sea of Peru was authorized to carry out an Exploratory Fishery for anchovy in the maritime area between 06°00′ S and 10°59′ S, starting at 00.00 hours on May 12, 2022 and for a period of five (5) calendar days.
The Exploratory Fishery shall be carried out outside the 30 miles by vessels up to 110 m3 of hold capacity and outside the 40 miles by vessels larger than 110 m3 of hold capacity.
By Board Resolution Nº 053-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on May 14, 2022, the extractive activities of the anchovy resource were suspended for ten (10) calendar days and from 00.00 hours of May 14, 2022 until 13.00 hours of May 24, 2022, in the following fishery zones.
Between 05°30’S to 06°00’S from 5 to 20 miles
between 08°00’S to 08°30’S from 30 to 40 miles
Between 11°00’S to 11°30’S from 5 to 30 miles
Between 12°30’S to 13°00’S 5 to 20 miles
By Board Resolution Nº 343-2022-PRODUCE/DG’CHDI, published on the Ministry of Production’s website on May 16, 2022, the list of anchovy ECML allocation for the North Central Zone corresponding to the First Anchovy Fishery Season of 2022 was published.
By Board Resolution Nº 054-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on May 17, 2022, the extractive activities of the anchovy resource were suspended for ten (10) calendar days and from 8:00 p.m. on May 17, 2022 until 8:00 p.m. on May 27, 2022, in the following fishery zones.
Between 09°00’S to 09°30’S from 30 to 50 miles
Between 13°00’S to 13°30’S from 5 to 20 miles.
By Board Resolution Nº 055-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on May 18, 2022, the extractive activities of the anchovy resource were suspended for ten (10) calendar days and from 00.00 hours of May 19, 2022 until 23.59 hours of May 28, 2022, in the following fishery zones.
Between 07°30’S to 08°00’S from 30 to 50 miles.
Between the north end and 05°59’S from 5 to 10 miles
Between 06°00’S to 11°59’S 5 to 30 miles
Between 12°00’S to 15°59’S from 5 to 10 miles
By Supreme Decree Nº 006-2022-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on May 27, 2022, a Special Provisional Regime for the extraction of the hake resource (Merluccius gayi peruanus) by artisanal fishery vessels with a valid fishery permit was established.
By Board Resolution Nº 058-2022-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on May 29, 2022, the extractive activities of the anchovy resource were suspended for ten (10) calendar days and from 16:00 hours of May 29, 2022 until 16:00 hours of June 8, 2022, in the zone between 13°00’S to 13°40’S from 20 to 30 miles.
Through Supreme Decree Nº 007-2022-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on May 27, 2022, an exceptional and temporary regime for the payment of fines imposed by the Ministry of Production in fishery and aquaculture matters was established and applies to the following assumptions:
The regime also applies to those fines issued as a result of sanctioning procedures in process, up to the date of entry into force of this Decree.
The reduction benefit is subject to the following scales:
Up to 50 UIT a 90% reduction.
Up to 200 UIT a 70% reduction
Over 200 UIT a reduction of 50%
The Supreme Decree also approves payment facilities for deferral and installment payments and the term to apply is 90 working days from the date of entry into force of this SD”.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 183-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano” on May 24, 2022, Ms. Jenny Patricia Ocampo Escalante was appointed as Director General of the General Directorate of Artisanal Fisheries.
