CLOSURES AND AUTHORISATIONS
I. AMEND CATCH LIMIT FOR BONITO
By Ministerial Resolution N° 179-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 1, 2024 in the Official Gazette «El Peruano», the catch limit for bonito authorised by Ministerial Resolution N° 026-2024-PRODUCE and applicable to purse seine vessels holding a valid fishing permit was amended.
The catch limit for 2024 will be 47,070 tonnes according to the following distribution:
4,200 tonnes until 30 June
2,466 tonnes corresponding to 1 July until 31 August
8,602 tonnes corresponding to 1 September until 31 October
7,350 tonnes corresponding to 1 November to 31 December
For this calculation, the 24,452 tonnes carried out in the period from January to April are taken into account.
II. ESTABLISH MAXIMUM CATCH LIMIT FOR ANCHOVY FOR DIRECT HUMAN CONSUMPTION BY 2024
By Ministerial Resolution N° 196-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 14, 2024 in the Official Gazette»El Peruano», the Total Maximum Catch of anchovy for direct human consumption was set at 150,000 tonnes.
III. ESTABLISH GIANT SQUID CATCH QUOTA FOR 2024
By Ministerial Resolution N° 222-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 29, 2024 in the Official Gazette»El Peruano», the catch quota for the giant squid resource was set at 499.683 tonnes for 2024.
It also provides that Peruvian artisanal fishing vessels registered with the Regional Organization for the Management of Fisheries in the South Pacific (OROP-PS), not exceeding 15 metres in length, when they are engaged in extractive activities of the resource in the area of application of the RFMO Convention-PS, must deliver the Catch and Artisanal Effort record format to professionals of IMARPE located at authorized landing points or to the authorized inspectors of the Directorate-General for Supervision, The Commission has also adopted a number of recommendations.
IV. AMEND MINISTERIAL RESOLUTION 217-2023-PRODUCE ESTABLISHING PROVISIONAL HAKE FISHING REGIME FOR THE PERIOD JULY 2023-JUNE 2024
By Ministerial Resolution N° 223-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 29, 2024 in the Official Gazette «El Peruano», the literal to Article 4.11 of Ministerial Resolution N° 217-PRODUCE was incorporated2023-PRODUCE, which established the Provisional Hake Fishery Regime for the period July 2023 – June 2024, which allows the catch of the resource in a size different from that established in paragraph 5.7 of Article 5 of the Regulation of the Fisheries Management of the Hake Resource approved by Supreme Decree N° 016-2003-PRODUCE, following the recommendation of IMARPE.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
I. AMEND THE HEALTH STANDARD FOR LIVE BIVALVE MOLLUSCS AND ANNEX I THERETO
By Supreme Decree N° 005-2024-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» on May 4, 2024, several articles were amended , as well as Annex I of the Health Standard for Live Bivalve Molluscs approved by Supreme Decree N° 007-2004-PRODUCE.
II. ANTI-BRIBERY POLICY APPROVED FOR THE PRODUCTION SECTOR
By Ministerial Resolution No. 221-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 29, 2024 in the Official Gazette «El Peruano», the Anti-Bribery Policy of the Production Sector was approved, Ministerial Resolution N° 254-2019-PRODUCE is hereby repealed. The corresponding annex is published in the digital site of the Ministry of Production (www.gob.pe/produce).
By Ministerial Resolution No. 221-2024-PRODUCE, published on May 29, 2024 in the official journal «El Peruano», the Anti-Bribery Policy of the Production Sector was approved, Ministerial Resolution N° 254-2019-PRODUCE is hereby repealed. The corresponding annex is published in the digital site of the Ministry of Production (www.gob.pe/produce)
APPOINTMENTS
I. APPOINTMET OF THE HEAD OF THE SANIPES LEGAL ADVISORY OFFICE
By Resolution of the Executive Presidency N° 067-2024-SANIPES/PE published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette»El Peruano» from 1 May 2024, the head of the Legal Advisory Office of the National Fisheries Health Agency – SANIPES was appointed to Mr. Maeg Alberto Arriola Escalante.
II. APPOINTMET OF THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL FOR MONITORING, CONTROL AND SANCTIONS OF THE OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY MINISTER FOR FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE
By Ministerial Resolution N° 190-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» of 10 May 2024, he was appointed director general of the Directorate General for Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production to Mr. Jorge Eduardo Maguiña Aliaga.
III. APPOINTMET OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE MONITORING AND CONTROL DIRECTORATE
By Ministerial Resolution N° 198-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette»El Peruano» of 14 May 2024 was appointed as Director of the Directorate for Surveillance and Control of the Directorate-General for Supervision, Inspection and Sanction of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production, to Ms. Jennifer Jesús Tafur Alvarado.
IV. APPOINTMET OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE MONITORING AND CONTROL DIRECTORATE
By Ministerial Resolution N° 204-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette»El Peruano» of 16 May 2024 was appointed as Director of the Sanctions Directorate of the Supervisory Directorate-General, Inspection and Sanction of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production, to Ms. Patricia Lacey Morales Franco.
V. APPOINTMET OF AN ADVISER TO THE OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY MINISTER FOR FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE
By Ministerial Resolution N° 205-2024-PRODUCE published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» On 16 May 2024, Mr Marconi was appointed Adviser II of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production. Luis Alberto Samaniego Saldaña.
