By Ministerial Resolution Nº 299-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» on September 9, 2022, the reproductive closure period of the hake resource was established, starting at 00.00 hours of the day after the resolution was published and for 30 calendar days. The closed season includes 04°00’S and 05°00’S.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 311-2022-PRODUCE, published in an extraordinary edition of the Official Gazette» El Peruano» on September 22, 2022, IMARPE was authorized to carry out an exploratory fishery of the deep sea cod resource with the participation of seven (7) small-scale vessels and with an operation of two (2) fishery trips with a maximum duration of ten (10) days per trip. The start and execution of these exploration activities will be determined by IMARPE.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 289-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» on September 4, 2022, the Sectorial Working Group of a temporary nature was created, in charge of supervising the formulation of the National Fisheries Policy, which is in charge of the General Directorate of Policies and Regulatory Analysis in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The working group is formed by a representative of the Ministerial Office who chairs it, a representative of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture, the Director General of the General Office of Planning, Budget and Modernization, the Head of FONDEPES or his representative, the Executive President of IMARPE or his representative, the President of the Board of Directors of ITP or his representative, the Executive President of SANIPES or his representative, the Executive President of INACAL or his representative.
The work of this group shall be in force until the formulation of the National Fishery Policy is concluded, which shall not exceed two (2) years.
By Board Resolution Nº 002-2022-PRODUCE/DGPARPA, published in the website of the Ministry of Production on September 10, 2022, the Bases for the Public Contest for the Allocation of the High Seas Horse Mackerel Quota granted to Peru by the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (RFMO-SP) to foreign flag vessel owners were approved. This year’s quota is 18,256 tons with a base price of US$ 121 per ton.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 285-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» on September 3, 2022, Mr. Rodolfo Alejandro Espinoza Ruiz was appointed as Director General of the General Directorate of Aquaculture of the Vice Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
By Ministerial Resolution Nº 298-2022-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette «El Peruano» on September 9, 2022, Mr. Renato Fernando Sandoval González was appointed as Advisor II of the Ministerial Office.
