Ministerial Resolution No. 220-2024/MINSA published the list of generic essential medicines in International Nonproprietary Name to be offered by private pharmacies and drugstores, under the provisions of Emergency Decree No. 005-2024.
By the Executive Resolution No. 052-2024-DIGEMID-DG-MINSA, the list of prohibited and restricted substances for the manufacture of articles for babies was approved under the Regulation adopted by Supreme Decree No. 010-2022-SA.
BPM CERTIFICATION – FOREIGN LABORATORIES
By Ministerial Resolutions Nos. 236, 235, 234 and 233-2024/MINSA, the travel of Digemid officials for inspections to laboratories in Chile was authorized, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay, with the purpose of granting certification in BPM.
By the Ministerial Resolution No. 224-2024/MINSA, the draft Regulation of Law No. 31633, Law implementing and developing human milk banks was published. This draft regulation seeks to create a National Network of Human Milk Banks to provide breast milk for infants and young children with high nutritional vulnerability.
In this sense, the organizational structure of the National Committee for Human Milk Banks is detailed and will develop and supervise the implementation of the plan of the National Network of Human Milk Banks. The National Network, for its part, will be made up of the Banks (units of the UPSS Pediatrics or Neonatology), the National Reference Banks (Bank recognized by Minsa as responsible for assisting, training and supervising the Banks), and Collection Centers (unit dependent on a bank in charge of collecting donated milk). The procedure and requirements for obtaining the implementation authorization from the Banks, Reference Banks and Collection Centers are established. It also sets out the distribution regulation and quality requirements for human milk.
