ALERT - FISHERY

Standardized administrative procedures were adopted for the fisheries sector, which are the responsibility of regional governments.

Through Supreme Decree No. 018-2021-PCM published today February 8, 2021, 35 standardized administrative procedures were adopted for the Production sector, whose process is within the competence of the Regional Governments.

As far as the fisheries sector is concerned, this important administrative simplification effort includes 13 aquaculture procedures, 10 fisheries procedures and 4 fisheries and aquaculture environmental procedures. These include the procedure for the validation of Catch Certificates for export to the European Community from artisanal and small-scale fishing vessels, which is widely used in the sector and whose simplification shall mean greater efficiency in exports for direct human consumption.

Regional Governments shall have a period of 5 working days to incorporate these standardized administrative procedures in their corresponding Single Texts of Administrative Procedures -TUPA.
