On May 23, 2020, Supreme Decree No. 094-2020-PCM (“DS 094”) was published, which extends the State of National Emergency and at the same time, it allows for the resumption of new economic activities and the continuation of those that have been operating exceptionally to date.
Services for the activities included in the resumption of activities by phases’ strategy adopted by Supreme Decree No. 080-2020-PCM (“DS 080”) have been formally included, among the new economic activities, establishing for these services a specific procedure involving registration with the competent sector and the submission of the COVID-19 Plan to the MINSA. This would indicate that the complementary and related services to the activities of Phase 1 may be restarted following the specific procedure provided for in DS 094, which – by the terms used in the regulation – would have less complexity and duration than that regulated in DS 080.
