On Sunday, June 19, Resolution Nº 099-2022-CD/OSIPTEL was published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano”, which adopted the Single Ordered Text of the Regulation (TUO) for the Attention of Users’ Procedures and Complaints of OSIPTEL (the “Regulation”).
The regulation orders and systematizes the changes in the Regulation adopted in the last years. Likewise, it delays until December 27, 2022 the entry into effect of those changes not yet effective and incorporated to the Regulation by means of the following rules:
(i) Resolution Nº 145-2021-CD/OSIPTEL, which incorporated changes to the complaints procedure and provided for the adoption of a Guide for the Submission of Complaints by the General Management of OSIPTEL; and,
(ii) Resolution Nº 251-2021-CD/OSIPTEL, which provided for the implementation of an Interoperable System between OSIPTEL and the operating companies.
It must be added that the regulation establishes the entry into force of the TUO on January 1, 2023.
