On July 5, 2025, Resolution No. 000065-2025-CD/OSIPTEL was published in the Official Gazette “El Peruano,” approving the publication for comment of the Draft Resolution on the Determination of Significant Providers in the wholesale access to pay TV service market and other relevant markets.
The Resolution proposes to declare that there are no Significant Providers in such markets. If approved, Telefónica del Perú S.A.A. would no longer be considered a Significant Provider, and a series of complementary rules associated with the loss of that status would be approved.
The Resolution granted the companies involved and other interested parties a period of twenty (20) calendar days from its publication to submit their comments through OSIPTEL’s Virtual Filing Desk.
