CLOSURE PERIODS AND AUTHORIZATIONS

  • AUTHORIZATION OF THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE FIRST INDUSTRIAL ANCHOVY FISHING SEASON 2026 FOR THE NORTH-CENTRAL ZONE: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 085-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 1, the commencement of the first industrial anchovy fishing season for the north-central zone, covering the area between the northern limit of the maritime domain and 16°00’S, was authorized, with a quota of 1,914,049 tonnes.
  • AUTHORIZATION TO IMARPE FOR THE EXECUTION OF “ANGUILA VI” OPERATION: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 092-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 10, the execution of the “Anguila VI” operation was authorized for a period of seven (7) calendar days, to be carried out with the participation of two artisanal vessels.
  • AUTHORIZATION TO IMARPE FOR THE BIOLOGICAL MONITORING RESEARCH FOR HARPOON USE IN EL ÑURO AND CABO BLANCO: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 101-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 23, IMARPE was authorized to carry out biological monitoring research for the use of animal harpoons by the artisanal fleet of El Ñuro and Cabo Blanco (Piura), for a period of three (3) months.
  • MODIFICATION OF CATCH LIMIT FOR MACKEREL FOR THE JANUARY–DECEMBER 2026 PERIOD FOR ARTISANAL VESSELS: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 102-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 24, the mackerel quota for the January–December 2026 period was modified to 80,655 tonnes.
  • ESTABLISHMENT OF CATCH LIMITS FOR JACK MACKEREL AND PACIFIC CHUB MACKEREL FOR ARTISANAL VESSELS: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 102-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 24, catch limits for jack mackerel and Pacific chub mackerel were established at 45,659 tonnes and 31,630 tonnes, respectively, applicable to artisanal vessels.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

  • AMENDMENT OF THE TUPA OF THE MINISTRY OF PRODUCTION: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 104-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 28, the TUPA of PRODUCE was amended, resulting in the elimination of five (5) administrative procedures.
  • APPROVAL OF AN EXCEPTIONAL REGIME FOR THE PAYMENT OF FINES IN THE FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE SECTOR: Pursuant to Supreme Decree No. 005-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 29, an exceptional and temporary regime was approved for fines imposed up to December 31, 2025, establishing discount scales ranging from 40% to 50%, as well as other procedural provisions.

APPOINTMENTS

  • APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ITP REPRESENTING MINCETUR: Pursuant to Supreme Ministerial Resolution No. 0003-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 7, Ms. Ysabel Ángeles Ramos Yáñez was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Technological Institute of Fisheries (ITP), representing MINCETUR.
  • APPOINTMENT OF THE EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT OF PROMPERÚ: Pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. 090-2026-MINCETUR, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 12, Mr. Freddy José María Solano González was appointed as Executive President of PROMPERÚ.
  • APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF IMARPE: Pursuant to Supreme Resolution No. 006-2026-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 29, Ms. Carmen Rosario Yamashiro Guinoza and Ms. Nathaly Marina Vargas López were appointed as members of the Board of Directors of the Peruvian Marine Research Institute (IMARPE), representing the Ministry of Production.
  • APPOINTMENT OF THE GENERAL MANAGER OF IMARPE: Pursuant to Executive Presidency Resolution No. 074-2026-IMARPE/PE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on April 29, Mr. Walter Enrique Salcedo Bustamante was appointed as General Manager of IMARPE.
