Water Resources and Sanitation

In a context where scarcity, climate variability and a complex regulatory framework make access and management difficult, our firm has positioned itself as a recognized leader in water resources and sanitation. With deep knowledge of the applicable legal framework and a proven track record in resolving complex matters, we design forward-looking and effective legal solutions to ensure the sustainable access to and use of water—an essential resource for all productive activities and a critical factor in sustainable development.

We provide comprehensive advice on regulatory matters, as well as on the development of strategies for obtaining water rights for various industries, including mining, agriculture, aquaculture, construction, manufacturing, energy and residential use. We are also actively involved in public and private projects and tenders related to the development of sanitation infrastructure, irrigation, hydroelectric generation, and multisectoral hydraulic works. In addition, we represent clients in water-related disputes before administrative and judicial bodies, including user tariff claims.

We support our clients throughout every phase of water resource use—from technical studies and the execution of hydraulic works to water treatment, disposal, and reuse. Our services span the entire project cycle for sanitation-related infrastructure. We also advise on negotiations with public sanitation service providers (EPS) regarding the commercialization of products and by-products generated through potable water and sanitation services.

Over the course of our practice, we have participated in pioneering projects in Peru related to wastewater treatment and reuse, the construction of new water treatment plants, and the development of desalination and atmospheric water capture technologies.
