Francisco Barrios specializes in mining and environmental law, and water resources. 

He counsels on environmental, mining, occupational safety and health in mining, water resource management, and handling of archaeological remains, as well as in administrative procedures -including sanctioning procedures- related to these matters.  

He has extensive experience in handling licenses, authorizations, and permits for the use and/or exploitation of natural resources, as well as environmental management instruments in mining. Also assists in the preparation of due diligences for mining projects and operations, as well as master plans. Additionally, he participates in defining strategies for obtaining licenses, authorizations, permits, and environmental management instruments, both for new mining projects and for expansions of existing operations. 

He was the head of Mining Legal Affairs at Milpo SAA, where he worked for seven years. 

He is part of the Pro Bono Committee of the Firm.
