CLOSED SEASONS AND AUTHORIZATIONS

1. CATCH LIMIT ESTABLISHED FOR BONITO FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER–DECEMBER 2025

Ministerial Resolution No. 268-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 22, established the catch limit for bonito for the period September to December 2025 at 19,000 tons.

2. CHANGE IN THE CATCH LIMIT FOR MACKEREL AND HADDOCK FOR LARGER VESSELS FOR 2025

By Ministerial Resolution No. 270-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 22, Ministerial Resolution No. 517-2024-PRODUCE was amended, establishing catch limits for horse mackerel and mackerel for larger vessels at 105,948 and 30,104 tons, respectively.

3. ESTABLISHMENT OF CATCH LIMITS FOR JACK MACKEREL AND MACKEREL FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER–DECEMBER 2025

Ministerial Resolution No. 273-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 22, established catch limits for jack mackerel and mackerel for smaller-scale and artisanal fishery vessels, differentiated by hold capacity and fishery methods and gear.

4. MARPE AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE OPERATION ANGUILA V

By Ministerial Resolution No. 287-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 30, IMARPE was authorized to carry out Operation Anguila V in the maritime area between 03°24'S and 06°30'S for a period of seven calendar days starting on September 4. This operation will be carried out with the participation of two smaller vessels.

5. CHANGE IN THE CATCH LIMIT FOR GIANT SQUID OR POTATO

Ministerial Resolution No. 288-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 30, the catch limit for giant squid or pota established by Ministerial Resolution No. 123-2025-PRODUCE was modified until December 31, 2025, in the periods applicable to artisanal vessels according to their size.

6. CATCH LIMIT SET FOR HAKE FOR THE PERIOD JULY 2025 – JUNE 2026

Ministerial Resolution No. 290-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 31, established the catch limit for hake for the period July 2025 to June 2026 at 20,364 tons.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

1. NATIONAL FISHERIES POLICY FOR 2040 APPROVED

Supreme Decree No. 012-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 1, approved the National Fisheries Policy for 2040, which is mandatory and applies to all public administration entities listed in Article I of the Preliminary Title of Law No. 27444 – Law on General Administrative Procedure. It is also mandatory for the private sector and civil society, insofar as it is applicable to them.

2. AQUACULTURE REGULATION MEASURES APPROVED TO FACILITATE THE PROCESS OF ADAPTING PRODUCTION CATEGORIES

Through Ministerial Resolution No. 250-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 1, complementary aquaculture management measures were approved to facilitate the process of adapting production categories, within the framework of Article 10 of the Regulations of the General Aquaculture Law, approved by Supreme Decree No. 003-2016-PRODUCE and amended by Supreme Decree No. 015-2024-PRODUCE.

3. PROCEDURE APPROVED FOR AUTHORIZATION OF ELECTRONIC DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL DECLARATIONS THROUGH THE “TRAZAPP” APPLICATION FOR NATIONALLY FLAGGED FISHERY VESSELS

Through Directorial Resolution No. 600-2025-MGP/DICAPI, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 2, the use of “TRAZAPP” was approved for the electronic processing of authorization of departure declarations and arrival declarations for national fishery vessels.

4. AMENDMENTS TO THE REGULATIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IN FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE

Supreme Decree No. 013-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 8, approved various amendments to the Environmental Management Regulations for the Fishery and Aquaculture Subsectors, approved by Supreme Decree No. 012-2019-PRODUCE.

5. DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH SECTORAL SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE ACTIVITIES MODIFIED

Supreme Decree No. 014-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 12, modified Article 1 of Supreme Decree No. 002-2024 -PRODUCE was amended, establishing October 8, 2025, as the new deadline for compliance with the provisions of the First Transitional Supplementary Provision of the Sectoral Safety Regulations for Fishery and Aquaculture Activities, approved by Supreme Decree No. 020-2022-PRODUCE.

6. GUIDELINES APPROVED FOR BIOMETRIC SAMPLING OF ANCHOVIES ON BOARD VESSELS

Ministerial Resolution No. 259-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 17, approved the “Guidelines for biometric sampling of anchovy resources on board fishery vessels”.

7. FIRST SECTION OF IMARPE'S ROF APPROVED

Supreme Decree No. 015-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 22, approved the first section of the IMARPE Organization and Functions Regulations.

8. GUIDELINES APPROVED FOR VIRTUAL REGISTRATION OF THE GIANT SQUID OR POTA LANDING FORM

Through Directorial Resolution No. 153-2025-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published on the Ministry of Production's website on August 24, the “Guidelines for the virtual registration of the landing form for giant squid or pota” from fishery vessels with a hold capacity of up to 32.6 m2 were approved.

9. LIST OF HIGHLY MIGRATORY RESOURCES APPROVED

Ministerial Resolution No. 282-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 26, published the list of highly migratory resources, which forms part of this resolution as an annex.

10. GUIDELINES FOR REPORTING INFORMATION ON CATCHES BY ARTISANAL AND SMALL-SCALE VESSELS MODIFIED

Ministerial Resolution No. 291-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 31, the “Guidelines for compliance with the obligation to report information on catches made by fishery vessels with a hold capacity of up to 32.6 m3 operating in the maritime environment”, which were approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 207-2025-PRODUCE, were modified.
