FISHERY CLOSURES AND AUTHORIZATIONS
- ESTABLISH CATCH QUOTA FOR GIANT SQUID OR "POTA" FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2026: through Ministerial Resolution No. 443-2025-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on January 1, the catch quota for the giant squid or "pota" resource for the period January – February 2026 was set at 76,324 tons
- MODIFY CATCH QUOTA FOR GIANT SQUID OR "POTA" FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2026: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 034-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 13, the quota for the giant squid or "pota" resource for the period January – February 2026 was modified, setting it at 179,188 tons applicable to artisanal fishing vessels.
- MODIFY CATCH QUOTA FOR JACK MACKEREL FOR 2026: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 052-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 28, the monthly quotas and other provisions for artisanal fishing vessels were modified according to a schedule provided in Article 5 of this resolution.
- MODIFY CATCH QUOTA FOR BONITO FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY – APRIL 2026: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 053-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 28, the catch quota applicable to the period January – April 2026 was modified, setting it at 48,393 tons.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
- APPROVE FIRST SECTION OF THE ITP'S ROF: Through Supreme Decree No. 003-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 4, the first section of the Regulations on Organization and Functions (ROF) of the Technological Institute of Production (ITP) was approved, consisting of 3 titles and 33 articles.
- APPROVE INTEGRATED TEXT OF THE IMARPE'S ROF: Through Executive Presidency Resolution No. 025-2026-IMARPE/PE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 5, the integrated text of the Regulations on Organization and Functions (ROF) of the Sea Institute of Peru (IMARPE) was approved, consisting of 92 articles and 1 annex.
- ESTABLISH ANCHORAGE AREAS FOR DIFFERENT CLASSES OF VESSELS: Through Directorial Resolution No. 930-2025-MGP/DICAPI, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 20, anchorage areas were established for various vessels in accordance with Annex 1 of this resolution within the jurisdiction of the Port Captaincy of Talara.
- APPROVE TERMS OF REFERENCE TO PREPARE THE MODIFICATION FOR SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS IN FISHING AND AQUACULTURE: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 046-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 21, the Terms of Reference were approved for the preparation of the modification for non-significant negative environmental impacts for fishing and aquaculture activities.
- MODIFY GUIDELINES FOR THE BIOMETRIC SAMPLING OF THE ANCHOVY RESOURCE: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 050-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 27, the “Guidelines for the biometric sampling of the anchovy resource on board fishing vessels,” approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 259-2025-PRODUCE, were modified in accordance with the annex that forms part of this resolution.
APPOINTMENTS
- APPOINT DIRECTOR OF HEALTH AND SAFETY OF SANIPES: Through Executive Presidency Resolution No. 015-2026-SANIPES/PE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 9, Ms. Milagros Jovana Bailetti Figueroa was appointed as director of the Health and Safety Directorate of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Health and Safety Authority (SANIPES).
- APPOINT DIRECTOR OF ARTISANAL FISHING PROMOTION AND FORMALIZATION: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 031-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 13, Mr. Juan Carlos Córdova Calle was appointed as director of Artisanal Fishing Promotion and Formalization of the General Directorate of Artisanal Fishing of the Vice-Ministerial Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
- APPOINT DIRECTOR OF SUPERVISION AND ENFORCEMENT: Through Ministerial Resolution No. 032-2026-PRODUCE, published in the official newspaper El Peruano on February 13, Mr. Heberton López Dávila was appointed as director of the Supervision and Enforcement Directorate of the General Directorate of Supervision, Enforcement, and Sanction of the Vice-Ministerial Office of the Ministry of Production.
