CLOSED SEASONS AND AUTHORIZATIONS
BONITO QUOTA MODIFIED AND REPRODUCTIVE CLOSED SEASON ESTABLISHED
Ministerial Resolution No. 331-2025-PRODUCE, published on the Ministry of Production's website on October 5, modified the bonito quota to 87,000 tons applicable to artisanal fishery vessels. It also established a reproductive ban from November 1 to 30, 2025.
GIANT SQUID OR POTATO QUOTA MODIFIED
Ministerial Resolution No. 332-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 9, Ministerial Resolution No. 123-2025-PRODUCE was amended and the giant squid or pota quota for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, was set at 572,804 tons. It also establishes that the exploitation of this resource between October 1 and October 25, 2025, is 53,000 tons.
EXTRACTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR THE COD RESOURCE CONCLUDED
By means of Directorial Resolution No. 176-2025-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 18, it was determined that cod fishery activities authorized under Ministerial Resolution No. 514-2024-PRODUCE would be concluded at 12:00 a.m. on the day following the publication of the resolution.
GIANT SQUID OR POTATO QUOTA MODIFIED
By Ministerial Resolution No. 346-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 21, Ministerial Resolution No. 123-2025-PRODUCE was amended and the giant squid or pota quota for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, was set at 609,935 tons. It also establishes that the exploitation of this resource between October 1 and October 25, 2025, shall not exceed 90,131 tons.
IMARPE AUTHORIZED TO CARRY OUT OPERATION GIANT SQUID IV
By Ministerial Resolution No. 347-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 21, IMARPE was authorized to carry out Operation Giant Squid IV from November 3 to 7, 2025, in the maritime area between 0 and 100 nautical miles from the coast. This operation will be carried out with up to 25 artisanal fishery vessels.
EXTRACTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR THE BONITO RESOURCE SUSPENDED
By means of Directorial Resolution No. 182-2025-PRODUCE/DGSFS-PA, published on the website of the Ministry of Production on October 22, extractive activities for bonito carried out by artisanal fishery vessels with purse seines larger than 20 m3 and up to 32.6 m3 were suspended, effective at 12:00 a.m. on October 23, 2025.
GENERAL REGULATIONS
MANDATORY NOTIFICATION VIA ELECTRONIC MAILBOX IN SANIPES APPROVED
By means of Supreme Decree No. 019-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 1, the obligation for SANIPES to notify administrative acts, administrative proceedings, or services provided exclusively via electronic mailbox was approved, creating the SANIPES Electronic Notification System. This decree will enter into force 90 calendar days after its publication.
THEY DECLARE THAT THE FIRST 2025 ANCHOVY FISHERY SEASON IN THE NORTH-CENTER IS NOT CONSIDERED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH MINIMUM EXTRACTION
By Ministerial Resolution No. 345-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 19, it was exceptionally determined that the First Fishery Season 2025 for anchovy in the Northern Zone – Center, is not considered for compliance with the obligation to extract at least 80% of the Maximum Catch Limit per Vessel.
REGULATORY MEASURES APPROVED TO IMPLEMENT PLANS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF BENTHIC MARINE INVERTEBRATE RESOURCES
Ministerial Resolution No. 360-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 29, approved management measures for the implementation of Extraction Plans within the framework of the Regulations for the Management of Benthic Resources, approved by Supreme Decree No. 018-2021-PRODUCE.
GUIDELINES FOR MONITORING PAICHE RESOURCES FROM AQUACULTURE MODIFIED
Ministerial Resolution No. 361-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 29, modified the guidelines for monitoring paiche resources from aquaculture, approved by Ministerial Resolution No. 071-2019-PRODUCE.
SECOND SECTION OF IMARPE'S ROF APPROVED
By means of Executive Presidency Resolution No. 166-2026-IMARPE/PE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 29, the second section of the IMARPE Organization and Functions Regulations was approved, consisting of one (1) title, fifty (50) articles, and two (2) annexes containing the organizational structure and organizational chart.

By Supreme Resolution No. 241-2025-PCM published in a special edition on October 14, Mr. César Manuel Quispe Luján was appointed Minister of Production.

By Supreme Resolution No. 242-2025-PCM published in a special edition on October 14, Ms. Teresa Stella Mera Gómez was appointed Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
APPOINTMENT OF HEAD OF THE ADVISORY CABINET OF THE MINISTRY OF PRODUCTION
By Ministerial Resolution No. 342-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 17, Mr. Ivan Melecio Medina Haro was appointed Chief of Staff of Advisors to the Ministerial Office of the Ministry of Production.
APPOINTMENT OF SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE MINISTRY OF PRODUCTION
By Ministerial Resolution No. 357-2025-PRODUCE, published on the Ministry of Production's website on October 27, Mr. Jorge David Bohorques Li was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Production.
APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR GENERAL OF AQUACULTURE
By Ministerial Resolution No. 364-2025-PRODUCE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on October 29, Mr. José Edgardo Allemant Sayán was appointed Director General of the General Directorate of Aquaculture of the Vice Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Production.
