Registration has begun for requests for extraordinary and optional withdrawal of funds from the Private Pension System.- Requests can be made on the website of the Pension Fund Administrator (AFP) with which the member is registered.

  • The process is completely digital and free of charge.
  • The application dates are listed in a schedule published on the AFP Association website. They depend on the last digit of the member's National Identity Document (DNI); however, there is a final open registration period regardless of the above, which will begin on December 4, 2025, and end on January 18, 2026.
  • The maximum amount that can be withdrawn is 4 Tax Units (UIT). Up to four disbursements of 1 UIT each may be made.

INSPECTIONS

New binding precedent from the Labor Inspection Court.- The following binding criterion has been established:

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

Technical Health Standard for food transportation published.- Through Technical Health Standard No. 234-MINSA/DIGESA-2025, the Ministry of Health established provisions for the transportation of bulk or pre-packaged industrialized food intended for human consumption.

The standard applies to all individuals and legal entities, public and private, involved in the transport of this type of food that is prepared for consumption. This includes food intended for collective food services operating in companies, factories, mining camps, and others.

The document requires compliance with the General Principles of Hygiene, which entails the preparation of the following two manuals: (i) Good Handling Practices; and (ii) Hygiene and Sanitation Program.

In addition, the standard includes specific guidelines on personal health and hygiene, clothing, and training for people involved in these activities.

REMINDER OF THE MONTH

Letters from SUNAFIL requesting information on worker attendance during the transport strike.- SUNAFIL has sent mass letters to employers requesting information on worker attendance on October 2 during the transport strike in Metropolitan Lima and Callao. It is likely that, if the transport strikes continue, they will continue to request this information.
